This 43,000 pound, 16 x 20 foot mosaic tile mural by Jean Varda can be seen in the southwest corner of the Sausalito Arts Festival lawn in the "Artist Gallery" area. The massive mural was raised in 1988 through the efforts of Friends of the Festival, the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce, and the Sausalito Rotary Club as a tribute to one of Sausalito's more colorful artists, Jean Varda.

Over one million visitors from throughout the world have attended the Sausalito Art Festival since its inaugural Event in 1952.
