and it was not so far-fetched an image. It was a
day of utter peace. The intense brilliance of the
light, which Varda compares to the light of Greece,
is what makes this Western life so joyous. "

Varda often went sailing. Every suday in fact.
Had a big 'salon' and went out sailing rain or
shine.
