The bow of the
Vallejo has a hatch into the hull. The front bulkhead
wall seems to have been removed, or maybe it didn't exist.
Our marine engineer requested we weld in a big iron beam
across the bow, in anticipation of moving the Vallejo
to drydock.

The
dark shadowy thing in the middle of the above photos
is this, the engine. It's an engine from a train.
Behind the engine is a huge pig iron plate lining
the bulkhead wall.
